Getting married nowadays is very costly both for the soon to be wed and their parents. The amount to cover all expenses can range from 100k up to staggering half a million!
So as a cake supplier, it is impertinent to deliver and exceed the client's expectations.
There can be many choices.
Fondant
Boiled Icing
Buttercream
or naked cake
or some layers are true cake while some are dummy or faux cake just to satisfy a large cake to display but on a budget.
Some opt for fondant. It can cost a bit more than boiled icing cakes but the design can be limitless. Plus having a hot and very humid weather can cause problems for buttercream cakes and boiled icing. Although my boiled icing cakes are perfectly suitable for outdoor reception and I have'nt have any disaster so far.
